Another rainy day...

I finished this little french hen or "la poule" today. Craft night with my friends is tomorrow night and I'm really looking forward to it. I started work on another wedding couple and I may be doing a custom order for an upcoming wedding. Exciting! Anything to do with weddings is so much fun.

Well it looks like rain in the forecast for the next few days too. I think this will mean the end of the lilacs for us. My beautiful white crab apple only had 2 days before the rain spoiled the flowers. Here is the last photo of the lilacs I took while the sun was out. The deep purple is already fading.

Your needle felted chickens are so cute, and you have a lot of talent. We had a lot of chickens on our land when I was young and loved all of them except for one mean rooster. He liked to chase the children when we went out in the yard to play. My mother would come out with a broom and chase him off. We did have fun running from him LOL

We have had a few scary roosters too. There is nothing like a rooster flying at you with his spurs aimed at you. When he got loose I would go out with a rake and an armed hose. Even then I would be shaking in absolute terror. LOL. I still loved them though - just not up close.
